Mel, Tina & Gary
Mel's Auto Repair is owned and managed by Mel and Tina Muzio. Mel was born and grew up in England. He trained in auto mechanics and together with his brother, Terry, operated his own business, M&M Motor Services in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. As a young man he owned all sorts of British cars including Mini Coopers, Fords, Rovers and Vauxhalls, some of which were very highly tuned. Mel also participated in banger racing, a low-cost, hilarious, form of motorsport
In 1986, seeking change and notably fed up with working on wet, muddy and rusty cars, Mel moved to Southern California and opened Mel's Auto Repair. Over the past 20 years the business has grown and attracted a devoted following of loyal clients, particularly those with British cars seeking value-for-money servicing.
In 2001, Mel's wife, Tina, also an English transplant, joined him in the shop. Tina takes care of the administrative side of the business and is likely to be the voice on the other end of the phone when you call. Mel and Tina are assisted in the workshop by Gary.
